Application deadline: April 27, 2026 Fee payment and applications must be submitted through your junior college by April 27, 2026. Applications are offline — visit your college administrative office before the deadline.

The Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate Education (BIEAP) has announced the Improvement / Supplementary Examination (IPASE) May 2026 with a significant change: for the first time, both 1st Year and 2nd Year students can appear for Improvement Exams. Previously, this facility was only available for 1st Year students.

Eligibility

Both passed and failed candidates from IPE March 2026 are eligible to apply. The same Registration Number from IPE March 2026 must be used for the application.

① 1st Year Students
  • Passed or failed in March IPE 2026
  • Can appear for improvement in 1st year passed papers
  • Best marks in each paper will be considered
  • No improvement for practical exams
  • No limit on attempts for failed subjects
② 2nd Year Students New
  • Passed or failed in March IPE 2026
  • Can appear for improvement in 2nd year passed papers
  • Best marks in each paper will be considered
  • No improvement for practical exams
  • No limit on attempts for failed subjects
Important rule for failed candidates re-attempting passed papers If a failed candidate opts to re-attempt a paper they had previously passed, they must forego the previous passing marks in that paper. The latest performance will be the valid mark for that subject — even if lower.

📋 How to apply

The application process is offline for students but submitted online by the college principal. All applications must go through your junior college — individual online applications are not accepted.

Visit your junior collegeGo to the administrative office of your junior college before April 27, 2026.

Collect the application formRequest the Improvement / Supplementary Application Form from the college office.

Fill in subject detailsMention all subjects you are appearing for — failed subjects and/or improvement subjects separately.

Use your IPE March 2026 Registration NumberThe same registration number from IPE March 2026 must be used — do not use any other number.

Pay the fee through collegePay the applicable exam fee (₹600 or ₹1,200) plus ₹160 per improvement paper through the college cashier or designated payment method.

Principal submits onlineYour college principal will submit the application on your behalf through the BIE AP portal. Confirm submission before the deadline.
