The Teacher Handbook is designed as a practical and comprehensive guide
to assist teachers in planning, delivering, and reflecting on effective classroom
instruction. Developed in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP)
2020, National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023, and State Curriculum
Framework for Andhra Pradesh (SCF– AP), this handbook aims to empower
teachers with clear direction and relevant resources to enhance student
learning outcomes.
Core Objectives
1. Curriculum Interpretation
Support teachers in understanding curricular goals, learning outcomes, and
competencies as defined by SCERT– AP and NCF
2. Pedagogical Guidance
Recommend activity-based, learner-centric strategies for each lesson.
Promote inclusive, multidisciplinary, and experiential learning to address the needs of
all students.
3. Lesson Planning Support
Provide model lesson plans, creative Teaching-Learning Material (TLM) ideas, and
assessment strategies.
Encourage the integration of local context, values education, and 21st-century skills
into daily teaching practices
4. Assessment and Reflection
o Foster self-improvement through reflection questions and promote continuous
professional development.
5. Integration of Additional Teaching Supports
o Integrate joyful learning techniques such as games, storytelling, simulations, and
project-based learning to enhance student engagement.
o Provide guidelines for the preparation and usage of Teaching-Learning Materials
(TLM), both low-cost and digital.
o Offer access to Teacher Resource Materials aligned with SCERT and NCERT,
supporting self-paced professional growth.
o Alignment of teaching plans and assessments with the Academic Calendar, ensuring
smooth and timely curriculum
