  1. a. Assessing the Classwork notebooks: Handwriting, completion of the lessons, neatness.
    b. Assessing the Homework notebooks: completion of the given home works in-time
    c. Assessing the assignments: Quality of the work, Whether done on the suggested lines or not, submitted in time or not, etc..
    d. Enter the classwork marks of each FA promptly
  2. Projects:
    a. Assessing the quality of the project.
    b. Assessing the suitability of the project as per the guidelines suggested.
    c. Assessing the completion of the projects in time.
    d. Enter the Project marks of each FA promptly
  3. Slip tests:
    a. Conducting a slip test very casually without creating any fear of exams and marks.
    b. Conducting a slip test without any prior announcement.
    c. Assessing children’s performance in a few academic standards (2 or 3) of the respective subjects.
    d. Conducting slip tests in a notebook for all subjects for the entire academic year which should be retained and maintained by the teachers of their respective classes.
    e. The entry of marks and grades in the records for each FA promptly.

Other resources to assess students:
Portfolios, Pupil individual and group products, Pupil collections, anecdotal records may also be taken into consideration while assessing the performance in the school.

  1. Summative Assessment:
    Summative examination question papers will be prepared and supplied by the SCERT as per the norms and guidelines framed earlier.
    As far as languages are concerned, the oral marks for the Summative examinations are to be assessed based on the child’s performance in the classroom and they need to be added to the scores obtained in the written Summative examinations in their respective subjects.

Guidelines for the Oral Assessment:
a. The teachers have to assess the performance of the students in the said academic standards orally during the classroom transaction and record the marks and grades in respective academic standards columns in the Assessment marks register.
b. Add the oral test marks to the Summative assessment to get total marks 50.
c. Complete details of CCE are given in the teachers handbooks issued earlier
